The Service Desk asks me for my Asset Tag; what is this?

Workstations supported by BSDIS are tagged with an "asset tag" [pictured below]. The tag is labeled "Biological Sciences Division Asset" and includes a bar code and number. The tag is placed on the outside of the machine.

This tag allows the Service Desk or a field engineer to be able to look up information about the workstation (location, model, etc.)
